Detailed Description

Italian  level 4 Upper intermediate

This course is ideal for students who feel comfortable with the basics and are ready to grow their confidence.

We’ll continue building on the grammar you already know, with gentle revision and new challenges. You’ll practise talking about what’s happening now using the present progressive, and revisit the passato prossimo and imperfetto to describe past events more fluently and naturally. Along the way, we’ll explore how certain verbs — like sapere and conoscere — can slightly change their meaning in the past, and learn how to use volere in everyday expressions such as “volevo chiederti”.

We’ll also work on using direct and indirect pronouns, giving instructions with the imperative, and talking about plans with the future tense — always in useful, real-life contexts.

Topics will include inviting someone out, past holidays and travel, food and recipes, and talking about health and wellbeing — giving you plenty of opportunities to speak, listen, and enjoy using Italian in engaging, practical ways.

Lessons are varied, interactive, and supportive, with a balance of conversation, reading, listening, and short written tasks — all designed to help you build confidence step by step, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where you’re encouraged to speak up and enjoy the process.

Perfect for students who are ready to move beyond the basics and take their Italian to the next level — with clear explanations, lots of practice, and a touch of Italian culture along the way.
