Main conference at Sussex

We are planning an exciting programme of events, including a performance of Between the Acts, events to mark the centenary of Mrs Dalloway, a conversation with Kim Jones and Charlie Porter, and a house tour and banquet at Charleston (limited spaces, at an additional charge – early booking advised). There will also be a post-conference visit to Monk’s House and the Sussex Modernism exhibition at the Towner Eastbourne..

The 4 Day conference ticket, and Saturday Day ticket, includes entry to the Between The Acts performance at the ACCA on Saturday 05th July at 7.30pm. This special performance, adapted by Eleanor Lybeck and directed by Jen Heyes, will be the first time the work is shared in full with an audience, and the company are delighted to be joined by members of AVID and representatives of the event's sponsors, Refugee Tales, for a post-show Q&A.

Concession rates for the 4-day and per-day tickets are offered to: PhD, Master’s and Undergraduate students; retired; self-employed practitioners; unwaged or precariously employed.

Suzanne Bellamy Travel Fund

The Suzanne Bellamy Travel Fund, established by the IVWS members in 2022, supports the travel of IVWS members to the Annual International Conference on Virginia Woolf: an affiliated but independent event that the IVWS has supported since 1991. Each year, the IVWS will match up to $1500.00 in donations to the fund, which it hopes will grow well beyond the $3000.00 goal we project. The fund is named in honour of Suzanne Bellamy (1948–2022), an artist and Woolf scholar, who passed away on June 21st, 2022—a little over a week after the 2022 Annual Conference on Virginia Woolf.
